As you can see, it's been designed with portability in mind - if it were a Sony product, it would be called a "skratchman". Will we see a leather pouch with a clip so that you could use one when out jogging? rolleyes.gif I figure it must be using much of the technology found in the PVT-E2 turntable.

One thing is for sure, details are still very sketchy about the product. I guess we'll all have to wait and see what's in store after the Vestax Extravaganza on the 25th October.

im not sure how big of an impact this peice will have if there is only 500 produced. i hope enough peeps can afford to buy it to keep it on the market long enough for me to get the money to get one. about 10 years. very innovative idea though.

I think the whole idea of this is just Q's designed something he wants.

People are complaining about fader placement etc.. but i think it's just a concept piece that tey've decided to make 500 of.

I don't think people should look at it as being a groundbreaking piece of kit, or that it's going to revolutionise turntablisim.

It's just a toy for Q-bert that's getting a ltd run..

I can understand the logic behind such a limited first run. Tablists - despite proclaiming to be pushing boundaries - are an extremely traditional bunch and don't like change. It wouldn't be in Vestax's interests to mass produce something so new and revolutionary just to watch it die in the marketplace.

I'm reserving judgement as to the impact it will have but simply for trying to shake up traditional thinking and move things forward - I'm 100% behind the QFO.

Having tried out one of these that someone i know has got im now buying one........was gonna buy a CD turntable (denon s5000) but these things are amazing. I'm gonna be able to take it everywhere with me to practise and if i ever need to record just some scratching on hip hop beats etc ill just bring it in to the college studio and blaze......alot easier than carying a mixer and table.
