As the Innofader edges ever closer to the retailers shelves and the insides of your mixer, Audio Innovate is getting its PR offensive in place. Having run a few small "Feel My Innofader" events in the US, Elliot Marx is concentrating all his efforts on
stepping on their throats keeping the pressure on the factory to get the hugely anticipated Innofader out there into the hands of already salivating DJs. In the meantime,
the spanking new Innofader website is up and running, complete with new some saucy hi res shots for you to pleasure yourself with.
The Innofader is in full production as we speak so you can be sure it won't be too long now, but I'm sure Elliot will be around to answer all the usual questions like "when" and "how much" - you know, all the questions that have been asked before.

I can't wait to get this for my QFO! The website is pretty cool. I would love to see demo videos of the fitting and adjustment of the fader. I hope it comes to stores soon. I'll be waiting for the L.A. show. Peace.

Hi Elliot,
I was looking at the 'does it fit my mixer' table and for the SA-5, it says we require a line-fader mod. I was wondering if that is only if you are going to be using the innofader for the line-fader, or if you have to do the mod for the cross-fader aswell. If the latter, are there more detailed instructions packaged with the fader because frankly, I'm a little scared when it comes to opening up my mixer and prying with the electronics.

Hey Corex,
If you're just using the Innofader for the SA-5 crossfader no mod is required. You can use the adapter PC board and the adapter fader plate included with the Innofader kit.
We're working on getting the manual online right now, plus considering offering an installation service. What do you guys think?

just wondering: will there be also another color fader cap like a black with white stripe or only standard black/red?
The Innofader should work in a QFO because AFAIK they use the same VCA there as in the PMC mixers with the same 4 pin connector.
At this point we're only doing standard black with red stripe for compatibility with the Innofader logo and branding. PXF, Rane, and Rodec also use 8mm stems and black with white stripe knobs.

to audio innovate: if you are clever youŽll try to get a stand at the Splash! Festival happening next weekend in Germany. This is the biggest HipHop Festival in Europe, so there is probably no better promotion platform than this! all this big time talk needs some argument right now!
Beside BNN it looks like turntablism is non-existent on the splash. They rather pay Jay-Z to arrive in a Maibach. F**k it! Those interested in scratching already know about the innofader and are dying to get it.

just cause tablism is underrepresented, doesnt mean theres noone interested in trying the fader. tell me a place more suitable for promo. i know that Rane used to be there when the 56 dropped, and I could try it there and eventually I did buy one for me.

Our focus now is getting DJs to try the Innofader at "Feel My Innofader" events. We're already coordinating many events in the US in July.
We welcome and support DJs with a serious interest in helping out, including at the Splash festival in Germany.

"Putting pressure on the factory," does not sound promising. I'm gonna ballpark conmercial availability in the US around October.

Thanks for the reply Elliot. I had one other question, what Canadian retailers would I be looking at to pick up the innofader? Long-Mcquade, Axe Music, anywhere else in western canada? Also, being in Canada, prices are jacked up so much more than what they are in US even though the dollar is just about on par, so is AI going to be pricing the innofader at roughly the same cost for both US and CAD? Thanks!
spidermonkey, et. al: Hey it's not that bad. We're actually doing final assembly early next week and waiting for some tooled knobs to come in over the next few weeks. And we're air shipping to the US dealers. We'll keep everyone posted on an exact date.
qfour: many retailers should be posting prices soon if they haven't already. PSSL posted $115US. I'd expect AGI Pro, TTL, DJ Deals, and PSSL to have them about the same time.
djcorex: My international sales guy is working on this right now. I'll keep you posted on where to buy the Innofader in Canada when we have more info.
Will it be available in Europe about the same time as US and Canada?

Just curious if you would suggest me replacing the Crossfader in my 05 PRO as opposed to buying a whole new mixer...if I were to purchase a new mixer it would be the HAK 360 or the TTM-56...however if this little mod can make a big difference in my mixers performance I may just stick with my 05

laban - We will be shipping Innofaders worldwide at the same time we ship to the US so the availability should be about the same.
sureshot - We have designed the Innofader to be at least on par with faders from the mixers you mention, if not better. You know my recommendation :D

I Have the final production version and been testing it the last few days, and all I have is man, if you guys love the Rane Faders, but dont have Rane Money then this is the fader for you, I put it in my old as Stanton SK-2F and I am amazed. I will be putting up a youtube Vid shortly
