We at skratchworx like the Urei mixers. Some of the team covet the 1620 and the others that have far too many channels for my liking. For me though, it's all about the 1601S - the 2 channel wonder with the sampler. But sadly, it has a pants crossfader - which is a surprise as the rest of the mixer is such a high spec. So Now Urei have got their proper scratch head screwed on and have released instructions which show you how to replace the stock fader with the PXF. YAY!
Having both of these items in the skratchlab, I might just attempt to carry out this transplant. It looks pretty easy really. Check out
