OK - sorry for the delay but I fell asleep with my laptop within 30 minutes of hitting my room last night and didn't wake up for 7 hours. Thankfully I was in bed... with the laptop... just don't ask.
Anyway, I've been fighting with technology since 03.30am LA time this morning and eventually won - kind of. I have to rush to a super important meeting for skratchworx this morning so powered by Apple new iLife '06, I bring you
NAMM Day 1. Please bear with the loading times - it's a little slow.
The next installment will be in much more detail I promise! :d:
Great pictures Gizmo
I wish I were there to witness it myself
Great job Gizmo!!! The TTM 57ssl looks realllly ugly!! But the new Vestax products are awesome, especially the PMC 08! Great review.
Nice job
if there was an award for dj gear aesthetics, vestax would be the winner, with pioneer a close second.
great job gizmo, this is why i love hitting up

on the daily.
nice.
is it me or does the ttm57sl look a little wider than its little brother?
looks like vestax are having trouble with their identity
none the less, the 08 looks like it could keep them game.
is shortee using a xs-8? How could tascam do that? Shouldn't they only have equipment that is in or will be in production at these shows? mabey i should make the less than an hour drive there and let tascam know how good the mixer is and they should bring it back as a mid-low budget battle mixer.
Sorry I have to say that, since everybody seem to love them, but all the Vestax products look ugly as fuck...
For the TTM57SL, it look ugly for the moment, but i am more than excited by all the new functionalities/control over SSL... It is just amazing!!!!! Can't wait until sumer 2006... If i had one comment, I would say a tap tempo button like on the DJM909 (for the effects), and a small LCD Screen for basic information, so you don't have to turn your head everytime to your computer screen...
Hey giz any word on how much the ttm57sl is gonna cost?
Says 1700$ list price in the blog. I would guess probably around 1300-1400 streetprice when it hits.
Kinda does it for me, too much money for a mixer, even if its the greatest mixer...but we'll just have to wait and see.
Would love one of those orange/white vestax setups
The best looking euqipment in years.
The 08 is definately growing on me......
Is that a new Gemini club mixer sitting between those hybrid decks?
it's like seeing into the future. I'm still trying to pick my jaw off the ground. that rane mixer is ugly tho.
This is awesome. I wish I was there!! I'll never have money to invest on a Pio DJM-800, but damn.. it does have some pretty nice features! oh and the Numark and Gemini hybrid decks - hoaaaa! I think the Gemini deck takes advantage on the fact that You can play CD and vinyl at the same time. I don't think You can do that with the Numark Hybrud X2 since I saw a "CD/TT" switch on one of the pics :S
anyway. thanks Gizmo =)
Thanks Giz.... C1 looks prrrrety. Cant wait for one.....
Has Rane said anything about a SSL/empath hybrid mixer? I really like having 3 channels, two for the tables and one for my sampler.

mixwell thingy , NAMM ,
SPEECHLESS
thanks a lot :D
GIZmo , I do , but dont get the possibilities of the controller 1 havin a tt-link , have you any more info on this because if it is a tt-link then there's a endless number of possibilities i suppose ?
speachless.. so much new stuff worth checking.
nice pics Giz. Thanks once again. Big ups to
I agree with the guy who said the 57SL looks fugly. Although the new Vestaxes are looking HOT! Good stuff from Vestax.
Thanks GiZ !
? the controller one & tt-m1 link , does it use the controller as a sound source or something , but even then this would mean that no motion could be applied to the contoller 1 , and the controller 1 would have to also have another rca output to use the sound
im confusing myself as that lots a load of balls i think /
vestax controller one infos + video check it:

Not wishing to point out the obvious, but did you see where the source of the video was? And if you check back, skratchworx had all this info and then some ages ago. ^_^
