But I got a mail a couple of days ago that I felt was worth taking the time to fight with my ADSL line to bring to your attention. I've bemoaned at length the near total lack of customisation for DJs and their gear, largely down to the absence of standards. Wouldn't it be nice if faders, pots and sliders where all easily interchangeable and available off the shelf as 3rd party spares? Well
DJs-face! aims to give you a step in the right direction with the ability to order fully customised faceplates AND fader caps AND knobs in a variety of colours and sizes.
DJs-face! (extraneous punctuation driving me nuts already) offers you the chance to buy full faceplates already decorated with your own artwork and buy fader caps and knobs to match the artwork. Sometimes they can even go that extra step and offer a full face plate where a half plate was only available before. DJs-face! comes complete with a full web based designer which allows you to place your ideal premade to the right size artwork and drop the 3 different types of knobs and faders (in 45 colours no less). Seems too good to be true from where I'm sat. I'll fire off an email to request samples.
This does of course come at a price. A full DJM-800 makeover with a faceplate plus all caps and faders will set you back somewhere around the 320 euro plus shipping mark. But if the standard out the box inoffensive grey, silver or black bothers you intensely, it might be worth checking DJs-face! out.
I bet it would cost a bundle to pimp the NS7 out...
No template for dn-s3700!!!

Yeesh. That seems
way overpriced to me.
Style Flip can do the same thing (faceplates-wise, at least) for a teensy, tiny fraction of the cost. Granted, you don't get the custom fader caps and knobs, but are they really worth 300+ Euros?
Also, they don't have a whole lotta products on their site. A single CDJ, a handful of mixers, and only Technics turntables. I vote no for now.
Cool idea--unfortunately way over priced for what it is.
So you're really comparing a sticker's price to a price of a metal plate? Even single colour "replacement" tops for techs cost a lot. These guys sell for 119EUR (if I saw correctly), which isn't that bad if the quality is right.
I'm with you on the Punctuation.
At least they didnt put a small "i" in there too.
This looks great def going to check them out
my m8 had a style flip sticker for his mixer tbh the quality was not that good and the holes for the screws were out of place slightly
he liked it though
it's a shame that it's so expensive. Are there any other site to order those colored faders?
They need to offer Rane style caps for other mixers and vice versa without the requirement of a faceplate etc. I'm sure There'd be a load of people after em. I know I would be.
