ok so i did find the mid august. I was only reading the user comments. not the article. Anyways. Elliot Marx are you going to release a replacement faceplate so i can update my AEM-100I to the new Innofader Faceplate?

The Berkeley event has changed to August 2nd Saturday.

The Innofader kit will include an Innofader sticker with a logo. We weren't planning on replacement faceplates for this.

even though your are not planning on a replacement faceplate is there any chance that i could order a spare direct from the company anyways? i am only asking because 1, the new plate looks hot and 2 some dick scratched mine when he was over messing with my mixer. PLEASE SAY YES ELLIOT.

I really regret you are not doing preview shows in europe, but in the end it all might fall back to sales here. anyway its your business. But I dont quite understand how you are not able to state a clear release date. this has been pushed forward several times so I dont see a need to believe in mid august.

I wonder if Audio Innovate can make faceplates with lexan type material like RANE. I mean its not like RANE invented the product and has sole rights to it, ecler uses it as well. What do you think Elliot Marx, any lexan covered faceplates in the future? maybe for the next AEM100K?

BCROGAN, et. al: I know there are going to be more and more requests about custom this and that so I'd like to clear the air on this.

As a company, Audio Innovate is barely a spec on a map as far as various suppliers are concerned. We essentially only have 2 products - the AEM-100/i and Innofader - so most suppliers aren't going to go out of their way to help us with special requests.

Before you guys start asking us for multiple flavors of faceplates and Innofader knobs, remember we're still a bit small to consider this. Hopefully with your support we can get to this point someday.

I had to jump through an unbelieveable number of hoops to make the Innofader happen in manufacturing. Nowadays manufacturers are focused on making low cost product in huge volumes. I spent many occasions explaining to manufacturing partners that DJs have wanted high quality faders for a long time, and many past attempts have failed precisely because the focus was on low cost instead of high quality engineering design and parts. I count my blessings knowing that manufacturing partners took a leap of faith on the Innofader project and helped make it become a reality.

The good news is we are literally days away from shipping Innofaders. I have the first completed retail product showing up at my door tomorrow. More news to follow...

i know you guys are just coming up, i was just blurting out some food for thought. My favorite thing about rane is the lexan faceplates. I freaking love that. It gives the mixer more of an industrial feel to them. I just would like to see some other companies have that as well so i can have more choices for mixer favorites. My favorite is still the AEM. i dont even use my ttm56 anymore, only at my mothers house. I am def going to hit you up though online Elliot to buy a new plate. That new red and black is off the mother freaking chain.

It's been "days & days" from shipping. Hype is dying. ETA: January 2009.
