CD Decks

If you want to start an argument with turntablists, there's 2 ways to do it:

  1. Say Vestax PDX or Numark TTX are better than Technics
  2. State that vinyl is dead and CD's are the way forward.

The first one will continue to go on for years and never be answered. The second however, is open for discussion.

There have been single CD players around for ages now but the first big name to make an attempt at bringing CD skratching to the masses was Pioneer with their ground breaking CDJ-1000. Subsequent offerings from Denon and a baby brother CDJ-800 and DN-S3000 have really opened up the previously unthought of possibilities of real CD skratching. Add to this new products from Technics and Numark entering the arena with their own models - CD skratching really is where the action is right now.
